Transformers; what can you expect and why diss it ?

I loved the transformers cartoon and i talked to another transformer guy who explained why they changed it so much. bumblebee cannot be a vw beetle and the porche cannot be a porche because of politicial correctness. they are german cars and the movie makers did not want to offend any people from WWII. granted the cartoon was after the war, but that is "supposed" to be the biggest reason. if general motors is a major sponsor that could be another big reason, there may be other reasons for the changes, but from what i've seen there is too little information to support any conspirecy thoeries just yet. this is the most attention the transformers have had in twenty years, it could be worse they could make a thundercats movie, why make judgements on the movie before we've seen it? how many movies have they made that stay true to the original show? lets wait to watch the movie before we trash it. it might surprise us all.

Workshops for the elderly similar to those for the MRDD?

My grandmother has been asking me to help her to find someone who could start up a workshop for the elderly in her area. There are senior citizen centers, but she says they only have activities like bingo and cards. She'd rather do something more productive, like a job. She was wondering if there were any programs similar to what the MRDD workshops offer, where the elderly could do odd jobs to help to get them out of the house and keep them from becoming depressed. She wants something to keep her mind young. Currently she feels that all she has now are crossword puzzles. Are there any such facilities? If not, who would she need to speak with about starting one up?

Aid sent creates laziness and complacency?

The only positive out of africa is the abundance of natural resources otherwise i dont know, i feel that people are mostly lazy and depend easily on food and money aid sent by the westerners. Ok you gave her written permission to move out of state but not out of the country. She can get into some real trouble doing that and could lose custody if she does and you can tell her that. You can sue her for breach of contract if the agreement between you two spells out everything; support, visitation, etc. You can stop her from leaving the country with your child at least. As long as shes still in country its never too late. You can charge her with federalparental kidnapping if she leaves the country and there is no where in the world she can hide where the law wont find her and especially your child. Good luck

Well I will certainly go and read that, I have 3 children myself and one is a very hiper little boy and does not know the word danger. I am always outside with my children my oldest is 12 and she hates it, but she understand my youngest is also 8yrs old, and teachers have a hard time with him in school having to keep him sitting down, but what I do with my younger boy is that when were out and about now this may sound rude and stupid, but my mom told me she had to do this with my brother and he learned, but its like a dog leash ok, it goes around your child like a harness, and you attach a cord to it, again may sound rude and stupid and its not a pet, but my son learnt that he could only go so far from me, and when I saw something dangerouse I give him a little tug and he would fall back on his bum, now he is 8yrs old and when he sees certain things he remembers falling on his bum that hurt and is starting to realize if he goes near something or tries to touch something he thinks about his bum and how it hurt, its getting better each and everyday, but I know some ppl would say I am not doing that, and I say do not kick it unless you have tried it, and besides you asked for advice, so here is mine.

So far terrorist attacks have not involved weapons of m destruction, but small scale nuclear devices and bioterrorism I think are within the reach of many terrorist organizations, although I too doubt the EMP scenario described above. That is much more likely to come from an attack by a foreign government. fold a piece of 5"x8" of white cardstock and fold it in half. You can buy cardstock (12x12 or 8 1/2x11) at any craft store for less than a dollar. Take a white wax crayon and doodle lots of little dots or flowers on the front of the card. Choose a color of paint (the dry paint that you dip the paintbrush in water and swirl it around) and paint over the front. You dont need to paint evenly, as it looks great when its swirled. Buy some stamps from Michaels (they have some nice ones for only $1.50) and stamp onto the front of the card. Stamp or write a quote on the inside. These cards look GREAT!! they are really pretty and anyone will love them because you made it. The total cost of the card is at least 2.50, but keep th extra cardstock to make another card, and the stamps can be used forever! Good luck!

What might I have? Should I be alarmed?

For almost two weeks I've been really congested and have a bad cough that isnt getting any better. Its difficult to bring up any phlegm and my mucus is really dark yellow and close to neon green. Hormones...... Every bird goes through hormonal periods. Their instincts are to mate, but when not given the opportunity they can get a bit "nippy"- wouldn't you?! It will p,but will happen several times a year. There are things you can do to help. It is hard to explain in this forum as it can be complex w/ lighting, different food & handling. Generally speaking, California has some of the better special ed programs in the US. What most people don't understand is that IDEA is hardly funded, even though it is a federal law, something like only 33%. So the state has to kick in the rest. My state, Florida does not do right by special ed kids unless they are in the most disabled categories such as autistic or severely mentally retarded. If you are learning disabled, forget it. You will be in a huge cl or receive very little in the way of resource help if you are included.

Punched a door, not sure of the type of hand injury?

Last night, when I was admittedly intoxicated, I punched a door with my right hand out of frustration. It was a pretty hard punch and left a large hole as the door wasn't of very high quality. I didn't notice any pain until the this morning. It is sore to the touch with a very slight swelling. When I first woke up I couldn't close my hand, but now I can pretty much close it all the way though with some difficulty. The pain is definitely concentrated on the right side of the hand. There is some pain when I move my right index finger or pinky from side to side or when I close my hand or try to pick up something with those fingers having to hold weight. The first two fingers and knuckes are fine. The right side of my hand hurts to touch as well as the pinky knuckle, but only slightly unless I actually squeeze down on it. I can stretch all of my fingers on my right hand to the same height as the ones on the left except for the pinky, which I can't quite raise up to the same height. I can easily touch my thumb to all of my fingers. As far as I can tell I can't feel any bumps or anything that feels broken or out of place. I realize this was a very foolish thing to do.. I lift weights regularly at a pretty high intensity and really really hope that there isn't anything very wrong with my hand. Thank you for any information you could provide about what kind of injury it is and whether or not it's something serious or long lasting.

Is marriage as an institution becoming obsolete?

I have seen statistics showing that as divorce rates increase, marriages decrease. There was even a study showing that at the rate marriages are declining in this country, there may be more single women than married within the next 10 years. I am getting married soon and my family insisted I wait until 30 because I needed to establish myself first. I understand the argument that you should not give up your independence for someone, but you don't have to give anything up (other than dating other people, and some couples still do that anyway) if you marry the right person. The original purpose of marriage from what I understand was to legally bind two people. Technically, you don't HAVE to be married to have children or behave as a married couple. I am just more of a traditionalist. I believe that by making your relationship legal, there is more incentive to work through problems and stay together as opposed to simply living together and having the option to leave whenever you want without any major repercussions. It really depends on the person, but I certainly think that in this day and age, marriage is being put on the back-burner for personal interest, as is starting a family. It is becoming obsolete.

I rescued this cat from a shelter when he was a small kitten, that is why he was not neutered. He literally sits on hind-end and will "hump" my female that has had a hysterectomy. He will follow me all around the house. Once he tried the sitting thing on my shoulder while he was on back of couch behind me. He does the cat night time "talking" and will not stop till he hears my voice. He even jumps in the shower when I am in there. It is starting to make me not want to be as close to him as I once were. When I grabbed him to put him out (hes usually inside 99% of time) he continued to pee mid-air till he was out. I have met about 25 drivers and kyle Busch was really the nicest. He has gotta be the funniest guy Ive ever met. He talked to me for a good 15 minutes and signed autographs for everybody around and this was all at a charity race. Parents! How upset would you be?

Ok, my boyfriend asked me to marry him and i've been thinking long and hard about it and have decided I want to go through with it. He wants to go to the courthouse and do it. just now, a few minutes ago, i wanted to commit suicide. i've been toying with the idea since who knows when but lately, bad things are happening to me in all aspects of life. it would probably take a whole essay to say all my issues and problems. but in short, i've been in a really bad mood since a few months ago. today was the day that just triggered all my feelings. at about 8 tonight, i decided that i wanted to kill myself through carbon monoxide poisoining in the garage. my plan was to wait until everyone in my family was asleep and sneak into the garage to do the deed at around 12. while waiting till everyone went to bed, i thought about a suicide note and what pictures to delete on my computer. as i looked through old pictures and a few videos of me, i thought it would be a complete waste to waste my life. i don't know what happened but i don't want to die anymore. i realized that i was taking life too seriously. it's impossible to lead a perfect life and to make everyone happy. the only person i can make happy is myself and to do that i must do what i like and not what others want from me. as for taking life too seriously, i have to leave it to whatever happens, happens. it was really scary though, i was this ll close to commiting suicide. i had a plan and was sure going to do it. but didn't.

Without reviewing the records from 6 years ago, it would be impossible to tell if this has occurred since that time. Enlargement of the heart occurs when the heart has to work harder to compensate for either damage caused by a heart attack or congestive heart failure which is a fluid build-up in the lungs plus other causes. This can often be treated with adjustment or adding new medications to keep his heart functioning at it's best that it can. You will have to wait and see what his cardiologist says. If he is going to his family physician, a visit to a cardiologist would also be indicated.

I have the worst anxiety. Sometimes so bad I don;t leave the house because I am scared something may happen. I have tried counceling, breathing techniques, and relaxation, and all of them work but very temporarilly. I tried one of my brother's anxiety pills at a family get together as some of my anxiety is social, and I felt so much better for hours. I'm right there with you. My hair gets so frizzy and its shoulder length too. I used to straighten it a lot but now this is what I do. After a shower I ring it out. Then I wait 10 minutes without blow-drying it. Let your hair begin to dry but let it still be wet. Get style gel (like the one for Aussie) and put it on your hands. Rub it together and grab your hair from the bottom and move it up. Your hair will begin to get curly but still have a wet look to it from the gel. Try it before you go out though because I don't know your personality and you might not like it. Most kids at my school adored it but still, better safe than sorry. Another idea is blow-drying it straight. Take a round brush and start at the top and work to the bottom. Your hair will be straight and have a little bounce to it. My dad and stepmom have been married for a little over a year. Things between me and my stepmom were great, I got along with her well. Later on, we were constantly at each other. She used to call me foul names and I would argue with her constantly. 6 year relationship on hot water due to disgusting habits! help?

Im going on 6 years with my girlfriend. its been a rocky road due to many issues but it all came to a pinnacle this christmas, when i moved out because i was tired of her disorder, lack of respect for my few possessions( i am very simple, i prefer few in number but highly stylish clothes, i have no nicknack's, decorations or anything unnecessary. only electronics are this laptop and my cell.) and her inability to clean after herself. after a few months out, we were seeing each other, i was taking her out, we would hang out and eventually i started hanging out more and more in our old apartment. and it seemed she had turned a new leaf, house was always warm and clean, candles and Insense on, bathroom squeaky clean. made me want to come right back. so i did. guess what happened. yup. she did a complete 180 and started again. its a disaster, we have a loft on the beach, no dividers between areas except the bathroom, but its hard to find an open space due to her overflowing piles of clothes mixed in with clean ones.i have NEVER seen so much clothes in one place before, and when i was younger i worked in retail. she loves Nightmare before christmas, and those ugly pieces of crap are sprinkled everywhere on our shelves. so much fake and real jewelery. so many things she doesn't need. and shes an artist. so so many (admittedly amazing) but unfinished drawings, sketchbooks, paintings, canvases brushes etc! and here is the best part. not one, but two untrained dogs. young dogs, the pee when they see you kind. the pee on my laundry, on the bed, on me, all over the kitchen kind. ok im ranting. but i love this girl, she is incredibly y, very sensual, very loving always eager to please. we have fun together in our own way, shes very private and i am a socialite, i love meeting people and talking and when i bring her with me places, she completely ignores everyone, and shadows me everywhere.(btw i dont like this, but its something i learned to ignore years ago) but one thing she cant do is help keeping the place clean. i was out for a week on business, i come home, mess as usual. but it hit a final nerve when i pick up an item from the floor, and an army of roaches ter, but like a flood yo! i was like WTF! ive been cleaning since this morning, its going on ten, and im still not done! and i am VERY thourough. the entire time um thinking, just leave just leave just leave. i cant though, i was planning on asking her hand next year... but i cant imagine living like this forever. what should i do to change her? or should i just do everything?

Nylon and Kevlar are two mainstream fabric materials that have come out of the industry in the last 50 years. Nikon still makes the FM10 if you need a new one. Or you can get an auto-focus camera and use it manually. Practically any of the Nikon or Canon bodies beyond the first entry level (in Nikon, that would be the N70, I believe) will have manual settings as well as program or auto. So you might consider Nikon N80, N90, or step up a bit and get an F100. The 50mm f:1.8 lens is easy to find used as well, but you can get a new one for around $100, the best bang for the buck in all photography. I'll let the Canon people make suggestions on their models, EOS would be a good bet there.

It’s seeping down the walls from the ceiling, where the walls and ceiling meet. It’s flowing out faster that the shiny black ooze should’ve, resulting in the room filling up a lot faster than I thought. I look for ways out. But there aren’t any. No doors. No window. No openings of any kind. No escape. I try my hardest to keep my head above the surface of the ooze. But I ultimately fail because the ooze is too thick too move through. I get sucked down into the ooze.But it looks and seems like I’m underwater. My hair floats around me, black in the dark waters. Though I can still breathe and water doesn‘t go into my mouth or nose when I do. It looks like I’m underwater in a black ocean. It feels so peaceful, serene, and… safe. Oh God. I just wanna be safe, oh so ever badly. I thought. I relax. And again, for the second time, I let my guard down, and it’s a huge mistake. Suddenly, as I go to take another breath, water gets sucked into my mouth. I immediately stop sucking in and hold my breath. My head starts to pound and throb with pain. It feels like someone’s taking a jackhammer to my skull. But I forget all about the pain in my head, because my chest starts screaming at me. It burns with pain. It feels as if there’s a ten ton elephant stepping on my chest. Except the pain is in my chest and not out. Everything goes black.There’s nothing but the Black Nothing for a while. Am I dead? Could there be something wrong with my heart?

For the past 3 days I've been having weird feelings in my chest, in the middle between my bone and on my left side where my heart is. The pain kinda comes and goes, and it's a stabbing pain. The first night I started getting the pain, I tought it was just gas so I kinda just ignored it. But when the pain continued that's when I started getting kinda worried. I got an EKG at the beginning of last year in January and they said my heart looked good. But I didn't get an EKG cause of this pain it was due to something else. '88 Toyota Carolla. Is it a dependable car?

Currently I have an '88 Toyota Carolla and its in Chicago. I'm at a college 6hrs away in Missouri. I've recently gotten a new muffler, brakes, spark plugs, and new tires for the car.
