Is it true that drugs like marijuana are actually not bad?

I heard Tobaco, alcohol are more unhealthier and more number of deaths than drugs like marijuana. Drugs are illegal because it can produce it anywhere, it can`t make tax unlike alcohol and tobaco. Alcohol was illegal in 1920s. But it is hard to believe that. Drugs are extremely hard to stop. Look at aerosmith,charlie sheen.
