How have you empowered your young children?

My children argue as most kids do but my 4 year old daughter gets extremely upset if my 6 year old son calls her names. She says her 'feelings are broken' and she cries and just is so very sad. so a couple days ago, he called her some random name and i put on 'thats not my name' by the ting tings on the computer. and now every time someone calls her something she just sing songs 'not my name, not my name' and it doesnt really bother her at all anymore. do you have any stories of creative ways you've helped your young ones through lifes problems?
