Does leg waxing hurt?

im thinking about getting my legs waxed next week sometime...its the first time ive ever had them waxed. does it hurt? i get my eyebrows waxed, is it more painful or less painful than that? im startin to re-consider...but i cant really shave them at the moment so waxing is really my only option. so, how bad does it hurt?
