You need to sit down with your Dad in a calm manner, look him in the eyes and tell him exactly how his promises make you feel when he does not follow through on them. Now is he actually using the word "Promise" or saying he would do something? He needs to know how you feel if he is actually saying the WORD -- PROMISE. There is a big difference.
